We collect granular, professional rugby-level data on both teams and individual players — covering tackles, carries, passes, rucks, lineouts, scrums, tries, turnovers, kicks, infringements, and more. You can view all stats within an individual game on the right-hand sidebar, broken down by team and player.MVP Score
The MVP score is a weighted composite of all tracked events. Positive actions add points; negative actions deduct points. The weighting can be customised by your account admin in team settings — for example, you might value tackle completion more heavily for forwards and passing accuracy more for backs.Multi-Game and Career Stats
Go to a player’s profile page to see aggregated statistics across all their games, including career totals, averages per game, and trend lines. Stats aggregate automatically across all games the player has been involved in, even across different accounts in a competition.Team vs Individual Stats
Team stats show collective performance — total tackles, carries, possession, territory, and overall match results. Individual stats break this down per player, showing each person’s contributions. Individual stats require player identification via jersey numbers and the player database.Playing Time
Currently, per-game stats show raw totals regardless of how many minutes a player was on the field. Keep playing time in mind when comparing players — a player with 6 tackles in 30 minutes is more active than one with 8 tackles in 80 minutes. Per-minute rate normalisation is in development.Exporting Data
You can export your data in several formats from the game’s Settings tab:- CSV — export event data as a spreadsheet
- XML — export in SportCode XML format for use with video analysis software
- PDF — download match reports as PDF

How is the MVP score calculated?
How is the MVP score calculated?
The MVP score is a weighted composite of all tracked events. Positive actions (successful tackles, positive carries, tries, turnovers won, lineouts won) add points. Negative actions (missed tackles, turnovers conceded, penalties) deduct points. The weighting can be customised by your account admin in your team settings — for example, you might value tackle completion more heavily for forwards and passing accuracy more for backs.
The stats look wrong for one of my players — what do I do?
The stats look wrong for one of my players — what do I do?
If you notice a discrepancy in a player’s statistics, it’s usually caused by one of three things:
- Event coding error — an event was tagged to the wrong jersey number. Contact us with the player’s name, jersey number, and game date, and we’ll review the footage and correct it.
- Name mismatch — the player’s name in Framesports doesn’t exactly match how they signed up (for example, “Tom” vs “Tommy”, or “Oliver” vs “Ollie”). We’ll merge the records for you.
- Jersey number confusion — two players may have swapped jerseys during the match. Let us know and we’ll reassign the events.
How does Framesports handle players who don't play the full 80 minutes?
How does Framesports handle players who don't play the full 80 minutes?
Currently, per-game stats show raw totals (total tackles, total carries, etc.) regardless of how many minutes a player was on the field. This means a player who played 40 minutes might appear to have lower stats than one who played the full 80, even if their per-minute rate was higher. When reviewing stats, keep playing time in mind — a player with 6 tackles in 30 minutes is actually more active than one with 8 tackles in 80 minutes. We’re working on integrating minutes-played data to automatically normalise stats and show per-minute rates, making comparisons fairer.

I see "work rate" mentioned — what exactly is this?
I see "work rate" mentioned — what exactly is this?
Work rate measures a player’s overall involvement in the game. It counts the total number of events (tackles, carries, passes, rucks, etc.) that a player was involved in. A higher work rate means a more active player. This is useful for comparing player effort levels and identifying who’s putting in the most work on the field.
