The player database is at the heart of Framesports. It connects player identities to jersey numbers, which allows the platform to attribute every tagged event to the right person and generate individual statistics, clips, and development plans.

Adding Players

Go to Players in the main navigation and click Add Player. Enter the player’s name, and optionally their email and phone number to send them an invitation to sign up. Once they create an account, it will be linked to their player profile automatically.

Linking Jersey Numbers

When creating or editing a game, go to the Game Settings tab and use the player identification section to match jersey numbers to player names. Click Add Custom Jersey Number for each player. This ensures events tagged to a jersey number are correctly attributed. You can update these assignments after analysis if needed — stats and clips will automatically re-attribute.

Merging Duplicates

If the same player appears twice (e.g. “Tom Smith” and “Tommy Smith”), go to Player Renamings and select the two records to merge. All games, stats, and clips will be combined into one profile.

Archiving Players

Players who have left the club can be archived from their profile page. Archived players are hidden from your normal list but their historical data is preserved. You can unarchive them at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Go to Players in the main navigation. Click Add Player and enter their name. You can also add their email and phone number to send them an invitation to sign up. Once they sign up, their account will be linked to their player profile and they’ll be able to view their own stats and clips.
This usually happens for one of these reasons:
  1. Name mismatch — the player signed up with a different name than what’s in your player database (e.g. they used “Matt” but you have them as “Matthew”). We can merge the records.
  2. Wrong account — the player may have signed up to a different team’s account. Check that they used the correct join link for your specific team.
  3. Email already in use — if they see “email already in use,” it means they already have a Framesports account. They need to log in with their existing credentials and then join your team using the join link.
Contact us with the player’s name and email, and we’ll sort out the linking.
Contact us with the current account email and the correct player name. We’ll update the account name and re-link the stats so everything appears under the right player. This is a quick fix that takes less than an hour.
Yes. Go to the game’s Settings tab and update the jersey number assignments. The stats and clips will automatically re-attribute to the correct players. If two players swapped jerseys mid-game, let us know and we’ll handle the split attribution.
If you have the same player appearing twice in your database (for example, “Tom Smith” and “Tommy Smith”), go to Player Renamings and select the two records to merge. All games, stats, and clips from both records will be combined into one player profile. The duplicate will be removed.
Yes. On the player’s profile page, click Archive. Archived players are hidden from your normal player list but their historical data and stats are preserved. You can unarchive them at any time if they return.
