# Watching & Clipping Footage

> How to watch your footage and create clips in Framesports.

## Watching Your Footage

It should be easy to watch your footage by doing the following:

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab in Coach view.
2. Click on the match or training session in question.
3. You should be met with the video to watch.

## Skipping Dead Time (Recap Mode)

When you watch a match in the session viewer, Framesports can skip the dead time between phases of play so you only watch the action. Look for the **recap toggle** (the three-arrows icon) in the player controls:

* **Skip downtime**: the player jumps past the gaps between events and lands a couple of seconds before each next bit of action. The skipped spans are dimmed on the progress bar.
* **Show downtime**: click the toggle again to play the footage in full, including the dead time.

If you scrub back to review a dead moment yourself, Recap Mode briefly holds off skipping so it doesn't immediately jump you forward again.

## Adding Custom Clips

To create custom clips in footage, do the following:

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab in Coach view.
2. Click on the match or training session in question.
3. Click **Clip** on the right-hand sidebar.
4. Use the scrollbar to adjust the duration of your custom clip.
5. Press **Save Clip** and select if you want your whole club to be able to see your clip or to keep your clip private.

## Downloading a Clip

You can download an individual clip as a video file to share or use elsewhere:

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab in Coach view and click on the session.
2. Find the event or clip you want on the right-hand sidebar.
3. Click the **three dots** (⋯) next to it and press **Download**.
4. We'll prepare the clip and provide a download link. Larger clips can take a moment to prepare.

Clips download as a standard MP4 video that plays anywhere.

## Filtering Clips

It should be easy to filter clips to custom events (e.g. only your custom tagged clips, only your dominant carries, only 22m entries, etc.) by doing the following:

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab in Coach view.
2. Click on the match or training session in question.
3. Click the **Filter** icon on the right-hand sidebar.
4. Select the event you want to filter by.
5. Press **Filter** and only those events should appear.

**Note:** You can use the **Tab** shortcut on your keyboard to jump through events.

## Adjusting Clip Duration

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab in Coach view.
2. Click on the match or training session in question.
3. Click on the **three dots** next to the event in question.
4. Press **Add to Presentation**, then select that clip and add it to a presentation.
5. In the presentation, press the **three dots** next to the event and press **Adjust Duration**.
6. Use the scrollbars to adjust the clip's duration.

## Sharing Clips

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab in Coach view.
2. Click on the match or training session in question.
3. Click on the **three dots** next to the event in question.
4. Press **Add to Presentation**, then select that clip and add it to a presentation.
5. Use the comments section on the right-hand side of the presentation to **@** that user in Framesports. That user will then receive an automated email and WhatsApp as soon as you message them.

## Moving Clips Between Presentations

This can be done using the Framesports multi-match clips database by doing the following:

1. Open a presentation.
2. Click **Add Slide** and press **Add Clip**.
3. The clips database will then appear. Click the **Filter** icon in the top right corner to select which session(s) clips are being pulled from.
4. Select the clips you had in mind from individual sessions or across sessions to add them to your presentation.
