# Understanding Your Data

> Learn about the statistics Framesports tracks, how scores are calculated, and how to export your data.

## Datapoint and Calculation Definitions

For a full breakdown of every event type's definitions and calculations used across Framesports, visit the [Definitions page](/1.0/definitions).

## Multi-Match Data Analysis

This can be viewed in three places:

1. The **Teams** tab in Coach view, for team-specific collated data.
2. The **Players** tab in Coach view, for a player database with multi-match player-specific data.
3. Any player's IDPs, which can be viewed by clicking in the top left corner of your screen and pressing **Player** to switch to Player view.

## MVP Scoring

The MVP score is a weighted composite of all tracked events. Positive actions add points; negative actions deduct points. This can give a great indication of overall player effectiveness across multiple sessions by looking at their average MVP points scored per minute. The weighting can be customised by your account admin in team settings, so you can edit the scoring weights to reflect what you value as a club. For example, you might value tackle completion more heavily for forwards and passing accuracy more for backs.

## Editing MVP Scoring Weights

1. Go to **Settings**.
2. Go to the **MVPs** tab.
3. Edit the score weightings directly.

## Expected Values and Benchmarks

Framesports builds expected values for teams and players based off a variety of factors and complex algorithms, including gender, location, style of rugby, level of rugby, and a range of other information.

## Exporting Data

This can be done by:

1. Going to **Sessions** and clicking on the session in question.
2. Go to the **Settings** page within the session and open the **Export** tab.
3. Click **Download CSV** or **Download XML**. (Exports become available once analysis is complete.)

To work with your data in **Excel** or **Google Sheets**, download the CSV and open it there — a CSV opens directly as a spreadsheet. There's no separate Excel, PDF, or PowerPoint export.

## Missing Match Data in Visualisations

This is likely an issue to do with Framesports not linking the match with your team name. Check if the team name entered into the game in question is correct by doing the following:

1. Go to the **Sessions** tab and click on the game in question.
2. Click **Settings** and look at the team name.
3. Click on your team name and check it's the right team name.

**Note:** Pay attention to any subtle differences in the naming which could be causing collation issues. It must be the exact same team name to collate accurately.
