# Tackle assist

When a player joins another player's tackle to help complete it.

## How it's identified

* A primary tackler has already engaged the ball carrier.
* A second defender joins the tackle and contributes to completing it.
* If both defenders make contact at essentially the same moment, the one who made first contact is the primary tackler and the other is the assist.
