# Scrum reset

When the referee restarts the scrum, but the team retains possession of the put-in.

The referee orders the scrum to be formed again because something went wrong (such as players losing their footing, the scrum collapsing, an illegal push, or an incorrect feed). A scrum reset is not a penalty.
