# Ball in Play (player)

Estimated minutes the ball was in play at the same time the player was on the pitch. We estimate "ball in play minutes" using team events that indicate a start or stop in play. We estimate a player's "minutes played" using the player's first and last event in a game, with some other heuristics that improve accuracy.
